As part of the Vinnova project XR Sweden – From Extended Reality to Extended Human, RISE is conducting Horizon Scanning to identify signals that could shape the future of the XR ecosystem in Sweden. The aim is to understand emerging trends and potential changes that may influence the field.

As part of this initiative we will use the Horizon Scanning method to map tangible and verifiable trends. This process involves identifying early indicators of change and development—factors that may not yet be widely recognised but could have a significant impact in the future. In essence, we are searching for current and future opportunities at the fringes of mainstream awareness.

To begin this process, we invite you to use the form below to submit signalsrelated to emerging or disruptive innovations within XR. To learn more about Horizon Scanning as a method and what qualifies as a signal, you can find additional information here!

If you want to, you can also participate in the Horizon Scanning workshop on XR, organised by RISE, Research Institutes of Sweden. The workshop will be held online on 16 April 2025 at 09.30-12.00 CET.

During this workshop we will analyse, discuss and prioritise signals of XR. Read more here!
