Tech Tuesday with SICK IVP

The level of automation in modern production industry in constantly increasing, and the number of industrial robots are millions! At the same time the consumers expect personalized or configurable products (who buys a ”standard model” car today?). This means all those robots must become flexible and interactive team members, instead of just strong and tireless machines!

During this Tech Tuesday, Ola Petersson, team manager at SICK IVP, will give a presentation of the topic ”Machine vision for robot guidance” and its role in modern production industry. The presentation will go deeper into a few application areas where the robot guidance team of SICK IVP is active and show examples of where their products are used. Real world challenges and solutions from their years in robot guidance will also be presented.

After the presentation, a small hands-on demo of flexible product configuration will be available for those who want to extend the lunch break.
