Östergötland’s hospital clowns work with children hospitalized in Linköping, Norrköping and Motala since 1996. The association’s work contributes with great value to hospitalized children and their relatives during various treatments. The children today often have access to tablets and internet connection in the hospitals, which opens up new ways for the clown business to increase their presence, in addition to regular visits.

The project aimed at extending the presence of the clowns in the hospitals through an app. The result is a ready-made app for reading tablets and can be downloaded for both iOS and Android. The app contains mini-games, entertainment, messaging function between the children and the clowns, as well as a schedule for future visits to children’s wards at the region’s hospital.
